Flexible communication infrastructure designed around your organization's needs.
- Server installation and configuration
- Federation and client integration
- Migration and troubleshooting
TinyServer designs and integrates independent communication and cloud solutions for small businesses and organizations.
From XMPP messaging and business email to Nextcloud collaboration, we build infrastructure around your requirements, your budget and your need for control.
We focus on three open-source platforms and the Linux servers they run on, and we know them in depth.
Flexible communication infrastructure designed around your organization's needs.
Business email infrastructure configured with security, authentication and deliverability in mind.
Your own collaborative workspace for files, synchronization and team productivity.
Many small deployments can start on a modest VPS. Other projects need more storage, performance or dedicated hardware. We help you choose an approach that fits your real requirements instead of paying for capacity you don't use.
A rented virtual server for suitable low-resource deployments.
More memory, storage and performance, or a whole machine to yourself.
A suitable server you own, in your office or placed in a data centre.
Whether a small VPS is enough depends on the number of users, storage, backups, security and how critical the service is. We'll tell you when it isn't.
A specialist for a few things done well, not a hosting giant and not a large consultancy.
Your messaging, mail and files run on infrastructure you choose, instead of on a platform whose terms can change without asking you.
We plan for the users, storage and traffic you actually have, with room to grow, not for capacity you'll never use.
Open standards and open-source software can replace proprietary platforms, when they are configured and maintained properly.
We document the setup, so your own team or another administrator can understand it and take it over.
XMPP, mail, Nextcloud and the Linux systems underneath. A small set of technologies, known in depth.
We tell you what a setup can and cannot do, including where third-party providers are still involved.
Who will use it, what you use today, how much data you have, and what it may cost.
The right software, server size and hosting option, plus a plan for backups and security.
Installation, DNS, certificates, accounts and migration, tested before you switch over.
Documentation and handover, and ongoing maintenance according to the agreed scope.
TinyServer is built on more than ten years of practical work integrating XMPP messaging platforms: planning, installing, connecting and keeping them running. The same hands-on approach goes into mail servers, Nextcloud and the Linux systems underneath.
No. Many projects run well on a rented VPS or dedicated server. Your own hardware makes sense when you want the data on your premises or already have suitable equipment. It also makes you responsible for power, connectivity and replacing failed parts.
Often, yes, for small teams with modest storage and traffic. A VPS for a few euros a month can be a reasonable starting point. Whether it is enough depends on the number of users, storage, backups, the provider's limits and how critical the service is. We'll tell you if it isn't.
Usually, yes: mailboxes, files, accounts and messaging setups can be moved. What can be carried over, and how much downtime the switch needs, depends on the current system. We look at that before we start.
Yes. We document the setup and hand it over as agreed, so your own team can run it. You can also ask us to look after it.
Maintenance can be agreed separately from the installation. What it covers, for example updates, backup checks and monitoring, and how it is billed is agreed for each project.
Which services you need, roughly how many users, how much data, what you use today (if anything), where you'd like it to run and when you need it. A short description is enough to start. We'll ask about the rest.
Tell us what your organization needs. We'll help you explore a practical, cost-conscious approach.
